McCain being more liberal

I still think McCain has a few liberal views, but that's the man my party has giving me so I will deal with it. Let me be clear, there is no way in hell he is more liberal than that socialist Obama. So I have to support McCain for the POTUS it's not that I want to, it's I have to.

The only problem I have is when people on this board or anywhere else try to make him out to be a more of a conservative than he is. I have to vote for him due to the fact that Obama being POTUS scares the heck out of me.

That debate last night was just rediculous, The libs all said they would offer more govt handouts, along with taking away all of the tax cuts W put in place so higher taxes and more handouts, lets hope the boat doesn't rock to left.

As one of the few McCain supporters on here, I'm not too concerned about him moving left on some issues as long as he doesn't go much left of center.

I think he's principled in his views of foreign policy and cutting waste.

On social issues, I think he's moderate which is fine by me.

Right now his biggest weaknesses in my view are his lack of expertise with regard to the economy and sad to say his age.

Age is an issue. Who would be his running mate?

If things continue on the same pasth as they are now, McCain will be president. Obama is showing himself to be the biggest lib on the planet, and is inserting is foot into his mouth on a regular basis... plus he can't handle the criticism. A lot can change between now and November, but I have to think McCain is feeling pretty good right about now.

What about changing his stance on immigration?

What about changing his stance on immigration?

I generally support a visiting worker program.

Most of the immigration solutions that involve some visiting worker program and some path to citizenship with penalties are generally okay with me so his stance hasn't thrown up a red flag for me.

I am a Dem. but watching Hillary and Obama rip each other up is very silly and I am not proud of that.

And you think the country can handle that?

MCCAIN IS A LIBERAL- I can't believe anyone with any conservative views can see otherwise. He has only supported the war to support his run to the White House. His voting record is left of Ted K and Hillary. His track record is not to cut waste- except he did vote at one time to shut down VA hospitals- which no one could criticize because he was a "hero." I will give him his props as a vet, but to pull that card every single time his voting record in the senate comes up is tiring.
The only argument I see for McCain is- like has already been said- is a vote on degrees of liberal. When Hillary has a more conservative voting record than the republican canidate, there is no true option- liberal, mega liberal, or ultra mega liberal.
