McCrae

I think it is funny that it suddenly is a team loss/game to many folks, while 3 weeks ago it was only Golden's fault for every loss, and even his fault when they won, but only by single digits. Wow. Awful way to end an otherwise impressive year. Looking forward to what the future has in store for this team with Martin at the helm.

Hope McRae spends a lot of time in the gym this summer. He shot 1/16, or something along those lines the past two games and tends to really struggle against teams that have multiple forwards his size. He plays better against crap teams, which isn't the best sign towards his future progress. Also, he shoots fade aways, floaters and three's at bad times. His shots the past two games have been errant and his performance is a reason why we lost tonight, although our team defense and team shooting are the primary reasons.

His development thus far has been very disappointing, although Golden and Maymon both obviously showed signs of massive improvement this year.

He lost his confidence and was pulling the string on the shot because he started to aim, rather than shoot.

Basketball is a bigger head game than football and lack of confidence can mess a player up.

How bout we just learn to say "we lost", stop finding someone to blame, and get on with it? McRae had rough night, so what? Why do we have to pinpoint a scapegoat all the time? The team lost, and if you're gonna dog this team after the fight they've shown, then shame on you.

SIAP BUT HE Is the main reason we lost this game. Played just about as bad as a player could play. Shoulda been yanked in the second half. Every shot was short and and he couldnt hit free throws. What was he like 0 - 9? Dude must be the best defensive player on our team...

wrong...shooting 100 3s and not doing what got them in the position they were in is the main reason.

I think some people may be forgetting that McRae was, in my opinion, the catalyst for our run at the end of the season. I would also agree if you were to say it were Stokes or McBee, but we are a COMPLETELY different team when McRae is on. He reminds me SO much of J.P. Prince the year of our elite 8 run. He's not as pivotal as JP was to that particular team, but the things that he does offensively when he's on is nothing short of a complete momentum swing. It's amazing how he has just gone cold as of late. That Vandy game, he was awful, and like a previous poster mentioned, it seemed like everything he shot tonight was short. Not sure what has happened between then and now, but you cant fault the guy who got us here, for having an off night when he got here. Rest of the team shot just about as awful as he did in all relativity.

We were outscored 38-12 in the paint. There's your ballgame. I don't remember when we were outscored that bad in the paint this year.

Our rebounding and McBee's prayer 3's kept us in it along with the FT's.

who is McCrae and why did he cost us the game? i would blame the loss on our poor offensive execution and being unable to stop the drive from the point, but maybe it was this McCrae fella

Another dandy by McCrae tonight. Not sure what Martin was thinking starting McCrae. Came out flat ended flat. The mtsu loss is on McCrae and Martin. Mainly McCrae, though. Why does he have the green light to shoot? Those horrible jumpers early in the shot clock late in the game cost us the game. Doubt he sleeps well tonight.

Win as a team and lose as a team.. McRae wasn't the only one out there tonight constructing a house outta bricks..

Yes but he's the most consistent brick shooter ... night after night. The wild drive before the half (6 seconds) was my favorite. That's McCrae to a t.

he could be a better shooter if his shot wasnt too flat. But I agree he does throw up the most bricks in a night

You type his last name so much I would hope you actually learn to spell it correctly.

98% of his shots are short. He needs to improve his strength and start looking at the back of rim for his shots
