I thought he had a solid year and I'm glad he is coming back but I don't think he was ready for the NFL yet. He needs to work some more on his technique and conditioning. And no I'm not bashing the man in any way. Just making a statement based on what I saw from him this year. Very glad to have him for another year tho.

Could this help us out with Lawson? With DM getting doubled most of the game that lives one on one for our Def ends. With that and going back to a 4-3, could make for a much improved pass rush.

3-4 is designed for DL to occupy blockers and LBs make plays.....4-3 is designed for DL to get penetration

As someone stated earlier, a 4-man front will ease things a great deal on him to the point where in blitzing situations, he's one-on-one and he wins those. in the 3-man front, he was very often doubled

I 2nd the point tthat Dan was not ready for the NFL yet and needed another year. Some of his VOL teammates should be as wise as Dan is in honestly looking at their abilities and what it takes to succeed in the NFL.

Nice pickup - Recruiting isn't only about newcomers.

McCullers will have a good year next season. I believe his stock will be higher, particularly if he shows the versatility of playing DT.
