That’s pretty simplistic but if it works for you it works
I would add 3. untimely penalties that negate successful playsIt’s like you don’t even watch the games lol.
There have been 2 components to offensive failure down the stretch:
1. Nico overloaded the cannon and had some overthrows (appears the 2nd half of Bama he has reeled that in)
2. WRs are dropping TDs
When Nico scrambles to Campbell’s side he gets hit with holding a good bit..he’s engaged with the DE but when the end starts to pull away to pursue Nico Campbell holds on a bit too long and gets flagged. That’s tough on a tackle because he doesn’t see that his QB is scrambling. designed roll outs work better for him.Expecting this team to all the sudden play clean football in Athens at night is a stretch.
It is avoidable. Not sure why this happens over and over. There is no excuse. When Nico scrambles to Campbell’s side he gets hit with holding a good bit..he’s engaged with the DE but when the end starts to pull away to pursue Nico Campbell holds on a bit too long and gets flagged. And our DL always flirts with lining up offsides…that seems avoidable.
Yes. I am mostly worried about Georgia getting away with holds in the secondary like in 2022. That’s how you load the box and kill the pass attack at the same time.If OL plays to their capabilities and not let the refs impose their will on the game we will have a shot no matter which QB is in. I fully expect the defense to continue their stellar play and put pressure on Beck all day. J. McCoy may be feasting come Saturday.
