McElwain won't explain absences of Gators star WR Callaway, QB Harris

I hinted on Callaway's status not so soon after the Michigan debacle.

Suffice it to say he might not be around to ruin your day next season.

Won't matter....some other freshman or sophomore or junior or senior or walkon or transfer or war veteran returning to college after 3 tours to the MiddleEast at the age of 36 will ruin it.

Some people fail to see the obvious, which is that Freak has created one of the best overall forums for sports, recruiting, politics, general discussion, etc. and that is why many choose to spend time here. UT fans, rival fans, non-SEC fans, or just general sports fans... a good forum attracts good posters.

VN really is the best CFB message board going today.

The riff raff gets dealt with quickly, and the majority of natives appreciate different points of view as long as those views are presented respectfully.

The problem comes from mouthbreathers...native trolls if you will...flaming rival posters, oftentimes unsolicited, then cry foul when rivals return fire. Luckily that's the minority here.

Isn't this Harris's second or third adventure with the rules with one other being involved in a rape investigation?

If so, I predict Harris is gone but Callaway makes it on the team come this fall.

Harris should lose his scholarship for impersonating a starting SEC quarterback.

If what is alleged against Callaway is true, he needs to be gone as well.

Are the charges/issues legitimate? I find it hard to believe that all of these guys are going out and assaulting women. It's crazy.

The charges against Harris the first time around in 2014 were dropped due to what appeared to be a lack of credibility from the accuser...jilted ex who found out Harris was with another girl and whatnot.

You'd think given a second chance, Harris would steer clear of any potential land mines.

How difficult is it for a football player on a major college campus to find a girl willing to fool around with him?

Boggles the mind...

I am assuming by the use of the word "star" in the thread title, the OP is referring ONLY to Callaway.

But still expected when posting on a rival site. For most part it always remains civil until a rival poster gets worked up and attacks Vol posters on a Vol board.

We can take to policing ourselves but that's about it.

I get what you're saying but pro athletes and high profile college athletes also get targeted by these blood suckers. Not saying any athlete is innocent but all are allowed due process.

I do think Harris is a numbskull thought since it is multiple.

Maybe, but seems more than that.

And I respectfully disagree.

I can only speak for myself, but you rarely see me driving outside of my lane here. If there's a UF thread I'll post in it. If there's UF news worth sharing I'll share it by posting a thread. If there's an opinion on UF worth debating, I'll debate it.

You'd be hard pressed to find a respectable post sent my way that isn't treated and responded to with the same level of respect. Likewise, when someone posts nonsense that requires a less than respectful response, I'll do what the situation calls for.

And I make a point not to get caught up in the family business stuff...the AJ sexual assualt allegations, the recent Butch Jones drama with Drae Bowles, the Peyton nonsense brought back to life from 20 years ago...I don't post in those threads.

But choose to believe what you want to believe...at the end of the day it's just football.

It was a response to someone suggesting I celebrate other teams doing what UF can't do, with no evidence supporting that suggestion.

How do you know what his post implied? I believe that's called assuming. I took it as though he brought up the fact that your team absolutely sucked down the stretch and was exposed in the final three games.
