The first rep was funny cuz he lost his balance, fell, and still got to the target. Not sure that is really winning if the QB has to dodge you.

Gawd....ain't that the truth. Having watched UT vs. Bama since the early 80's, I'll give you another truth.

Bama never, I mean never, gets penalized during "game-serious" situations.

Holding on a 3rd and 19 pass play completion? - No.
Blocking in the back on a punt return for a TD? - No.

Off sides in the first quarter on 2nd and 2? - Yes.
Illegal procedure in 2nd quarter on 3rd and 1? - Yes.

Book it. See for yourself. Oh, btw...the exact opposite occurs for their competition. It used to be much worse than it is now, but it is still prevalent.

You are exactly right. Have seen it over and over. As a matter of fact, I would not be surprised if that is not part of their selling points to recruits. It is one of the most consistent things in football - refs looking the other way for Bama!

Just saw this on Saturday Down South, and thought it was HILARIOUS.


Alabama four-star OL commitment Richie Petitbon was also incredibly effective during the lineman challenge. The grandson of the NFL coach by the same name, Petitbon impressed during the lineman challenge. He and fellow Alabama O-line commits Lester Cotton and Dallas Warmack have definitely bonded, and they performed well at camp.

“There is great competition out there but I’m not blown away by the D-lineman,” Petitbon told Saturday Down South after the day’s competition. “It’s just a great opportunity to compete against the best, there’s a lot of great athletes out here.”

DT's take a beating.. You leave after 3 if Cleveland, Jacksonville have the number 1. They will again be looking for a QB by 2018.. its in their owners manual
