McNabb thinks he's a HOFer

Obviously he's his own biggest fan. No surprise there.
I can't see I would expect him to come out and say he doesn't deserve to be in HOF.

Holy crap he was amazing against Tennessee in 1998.

I can't say that I've really cared about anything that's happened in his whole career since then.

Silly McNabb, hall of fame is for winners.

And Trix are for me!
He had the same exact winning percentage as Dan Marino did.....................not saying he is Dan Marino, but the guy was a winner in Philly and if he had a great team around him, especially at WR (sans one year of Owens) I would bet he would have won a lot more.

So no Reggie MIller, Jeff Bagwell, or Craig Biggio in the hall.

No kidding. Barkley and Malone are easily the two greatest PF's of all-time*, and neither has a ring.

*Duncan is not a PF. He is a 7' pivot, who prefers his back to the basket. He's a center with a PF next to his name.

They, like many other great teams of the late eighties and early nineties, had the extreme misfortune of playing at the same time as jordan.

Agreed. And along with that theme, McNabb's best team got beat by one of the greatest dynasties ever in the SB.

That was only one game though, whereas IIRC every team that was great during the Jordan era was foiled multiple times, not least of which was your Jazz.

I was still living in TN, so I cared nothing for the Jazz and was actually a big MJ fan (who wasn't?). In hindsight I wish the Jazz had won it, though.

People actually like the Jazz?!?

Like/hate

They are kind of enfuriating. I'd say Kanter is better than Big Al right now, but Jefferson leads the team in minutes, and Kanter is 13th on the team in minutes.

Also, dunk champ Jeremy Evans has been spectacular when he gets burn, but he gets even less playing time than Kanter.

My father always talk about how that Sonics team gave the Bulls the best series, and how if they had one more scorer, they would have won that title. He says The Glove played spectacular in that series he says.

I don't see it like that at all. The '96 Bulls were just the most dominant team ever. The Sonics could've won it all most years.

Kemp = 19.6 ppg, .631 TS%
Payton = 19.3 ppg, .554 TS%
Schrempf = 17.1 ppg, .598 TS%
Hawkins = 15.6 ppg, .603 TS%

You can't ask for more scoring than that. They were #2 in the league in PPG. On top of that, those TS%'s are ridiculous (.530 is league average).

Seattle, Utah, Phoenix, LA and Portland all had teams good enough to win the title during that stretch, but IIRC no team the MJ Bulls played in the playoffs won more than two games.

Again, let the record show the selfish player risked his career to play in the Super Bowl for a team he had played one season with, while the franchise QB was throwing up in the huddle during the 4th quarter because he partied during the week.

This is quality BS from someone who likely hasn't got the first clue as to why McNabb threw up and obviously didn't watch the game. TO is loudmouth blowhard that ran sideline out routes that whole game. Yeah, he had quite a few catches, but none were game changers of any sort. Give me 11 McNabbs and you can have 11 TOs and I will beat you every day of the week and twice on Sunday

I believe you mean early to late nineties. Jordan never won a ring in the eighties. Didn't even come close until 1991 when he got his first title

The Sonics won two games. Otherwise it wasn't that close. Both the Suns and Jazz gave the Bulls a tougher series

This thread is indicative of the lack of reasoning skills present in factions of our fanbase. There is a poll started about Eli Manning and whether or not he is a lock for the HOF RIGHT NOW and honest to God, too many posters to mention agreed he is already a lock. At this point in his career, Eli still isn't as good as McNabb was in his prime. Eli is JUST NOW getting to that level and he's a lock because of his two Super Bowls and McNabb is a maybe?

Whether you guys like it or not, Eli has a few good years to go BEFORE he could be considered as good as McNabb.

Cant believe that I missed this post.....

So McNabb puked in the 4th quarter because he partied during the week..............the 4th quarter? So, he played for 45 minutes without puking, but due to the booze and party in his sytem, he just couldnt hold it back anymore til the 4th quarter........100% bull****. Show me anywhere where anyone but TO or someone quoting TO, that McNabb puked in the huddle in the Super Bowl. Can you specifically point out to me from watching the Super Bowl where McNabb even looked like he was puking in the huddle? The time in the game where TO had started this crap about McNabb puking was right after a fumble recovery by McNabb when he was slammed on the ball by Bruschi. He wasnt puking, he was gasping for ****ing air which happens to anyone who lands just right on a ball...........not because they were partying. Also, after this "puking" incident, McNabb didnt do anything but throw a 30yr touchdown to Lewis during that drive. TO had his one of his best years in 04 catching passes from McNabb if you take in account he only played 14 games in the regular season. They both benefited from the relationship that year until TO went TO on McNabb and the rest of the team.
