I don't think Stokes is mature enough to make the smart decision. He reminds me to much of Hopson. Get one bad agent in there telling him he's a lottery pick and the rest is history.

An Agent can't speak to him so...

Im actually more worried about Stokes. He has a NBA ready body, an absolute ogre inside. However, I also feel that his touch around the basket and D could use another year of development to get him a guaranteed 1st round pick.

People making assumptions about people they dont even know always cracks me up. He is very intelligent and gives no real indications of being immature. But, sure....if you say so.

I think Stokes will come back for one more season. He has everything to gain and a lot more to lose. I think he could have a tremendous season next year they want be able to double him like this season if Maymon is back in form.

Not sure why you say this. Jarnell is very mature for his age- good, smart kid who represents the university well. He was just very talented in high school and is eager to do well and make money for him and his family. There is nothing wrong with that. We all are eager to finish school and make money performing our craft.

If Stokes nba ready body was more like karl Malone or even Charles barkley I would say go make some money .But guys you have to face the facts though light on his feet he cant hit free throws and isn't good out of the lane and he cannot jump a lick.if he could jump he would be a monster on the boards and would dunk the ball home guaranteeing a made bucket everytime.AT 6,8 WITH THE INSIDR POSITION HE TAKES IT SHOULD BE SLAM AFTER SLAM BUT ITS NOT AND I SAW HIM TRY AND DUNK A BALL THIS SEASON WHERE HE MISSED IT BADLEY BECAUSE HE DID NOT GET HIGH ENOUGH.

Waive the slightest chance of millions of dollars in your face when you were 18 at the expense of your education. What would you do? 18 is not old enough to make life decisions. I don't care who you are.

An agent can speak to a player while still enrolled in school?

Yes. It is against NCAA rules for a player to accept benefits from the agent or come to an agreement regarding representation. It is not against the rules to merely speak with an agent.

Stokes is not "immature", but he would benefit by coming back and developing a solid mid to short range jumper. He will need to be able to shoot at the next level and he should have the flexibility to develop his shot with Maymon healthy and demanding attention from defences. Come back guys and lets get an SEC championship!
