That’s literally how simonton works out

I know it’s probably useless projection, but I still enjoy the 247 player comparisons. Usually they’ll compare the recruit to a previous years player and give a draft projection.

For Katron, no player comparison and just UFA. Im assuming that means undrafted free agent. Kind of a curious projection for such a highly rated player.

Trying to project a 17 year old high school senior-to-be's NFL Draft prospects is an absurd waste of time... but a former Vol that I would say Evans looks like and his film reminds me of, is Justin Harrell from back in the day.

I hate that I’m about to say this but look at two of Butch Jones’ recruits Antonio Brown and JJ Watt... both two stars if I remember?

Those comparisons don't hold much value anymore. Watt was in the class of 07, so he would have been scouted largely in 05-06. Recruiting services didnt have a 50th of the money, scouts, and resources back then that they do now. TONS of kids flew under the radar back then due to lack of HUDL and easy social sharing of film. Look at the hit rate of the past 3 drafts, not guys in their 30s.

Don't forget how Butch tried to play JJ at CMU and AB wasn't even drafted until the 6th round.

Central Michigan
Watt received a scholarship offer from Central Michigan University and matriculated there. He has stated that he was led to believe by Butch Jones that, as a tight end, he would have the opportunity to score touchdowns. At Central Michigan, he played 14 games, compiling 77 receiving yards and 8 receptions.[13][14] Watt's coaches, led by Butch Jones, suggested that he move to offensive tackle, but Watt decided to forgo his starting spot and scholarship to walk-on at the University of Wisconsin, where he played as a defensive end.
