Media Days

I'm on the Maggitt and Worley bandwagon. Maggitt's really stepped up in the leadership role and I think that CBJ wants Worley to be seen as a definite leader on the offense. JMO

Maggit is a lock IMO. Butch has said many times he is the heart, soul, & leader of this team. The 2nd pick will be interesting...AJ, Randolph, or Worley seem most likely. Maybe Jordan Williams, Lane, or Jackson as dark horses.

I think Maggitt has been a bigger role model and leader on the team( off the field for obvious reasons). I'm torn between Aj and Worley or Maggitt and Worley. Tough call

Brent Hubbs on 104.5 in Nashville, when asked who Tennessee would take to Media Days, said Worley, AJ and either Mack Crowder, Brian Randolph or Maggitt. Confirmed that each team takes 3 players and not just 2.

AJ will undoubtedly go.

Worley should go...to increase his leadership and respect from younger guys.

I'd love to see Curt or Randolph in the third spot, but I have a feeling it'll be an o-lineman...Crowder or Jackson

Is there a specific time when UT will be on the podium?
I'd like to set the DVR to record it so I can zip through and watch Butch and Co.

Just saw on the UT Site it will be:

Crowder, AJ and Maggitt! Interesting no QB going??

Good choices. Crowder will be a leader on the line which is important. If we would've brought Worley questions would arise if he was the designated starter now

I don't agree with that at all. Worley needs to go. Worley needs to establish himself as the undoubted leader, but Butch could certainly help the process along by doing things like letting him come and be the QB that represents the team at events like this.

Worley has work to do!

Not a problem for me, keeping the competition alive it seems.

I'm not sure that I can ever recall a center going to Media days, does anyone else? Especially one with only one career start.

Butch is on record saying that he has been very pleased with the leadership abilities of Crowder. So I guess he considers him the leader of the offense at this point.

The Vols really need a QB to step up and lead the offense. Maybe this was more of a wake up call to Worley to start the season.

Worley doesn't need to go if he isn't showing leadership and gaining confidence from the Coach's. Guess Worley isn't the sure fire lock to be the starter as some seem to be positive about. Hopefully Peterman and Dobbs have continued developing.

Or a wakeup call to Peterman and Dobbs. Looking forward to the QB race starting in a few weeks.

Maybe Butch didn't want to bring a qb, because he wasn't prepared to name a starter yet.

It doesn't matter at all, folks.

We're bringing Driskel. That doesn't make me feel any better.

It really doesn't mean that anyone he brings will be the starter. Bringing Worley wouldn't say that he was the starter. But him not coming tells me it's more about leadership than anything.

Looking at the list, seeing lots of o-linemen going this year:
Arkansas taking their Guard
Auburn taking their Center
Kentucky taking their Offensive Tackle
LSU taking their Tackle
Missouri taking Center
South Carolina Guard
Texas A&M Tackle
Vandy TE

I was talking about UT. I could care less about the enemy.

Worley is not going because he may not start. He still might. If he was a lock to start he would have went though.
