We've seen it happen before. Wasn't Anthony Davis voted preseason POY as a freshmen? Your acting like a freshmen has never been nominated before.

Are you saying that out of your hatred for Florida or do you actually think that? It's hard to deny their roster is stacked.

I thought maybe Davis was preseason POY too, but it was actually Terrance Jones that year. Should have been Davis, because that's one they would have gotten right.

I'm not upset over Randle getting the nod. Rarely is the preseason POY also the postseason POY.

Maybe I don't know about their bench guys who are sophomores and juniors. I know they added Hill and the transfer, but Walker's future is questionable. I don't think their roster is that great. I know Boynton was inconsistent, but they also lost Murphy and Rosario. Those three led the team in scoring and minutes. No doubt they will be good- just not sure how good. I think we have more talent, especially on the wing and maybe inside as well.

Returning five: Scottie Wilbekin, Patric Young, Will Yeguete, Michael Frazier Jr., Casey Prather

Scottie got reinstated to the team, who has been inconsistent but can put up numbers. Patric Young.. Is still Patric young. Frazier is a sniper from the 3pt line, plus they're adding Eli Carter from Rutgers who averaged 15ppg last season in the Big East and big man Dorian Finney-Smith whose done a decent job averaging 6.3 pts/7rbds per 29 minutes of play.

Put all those players into Donovan's system and potentially add Chris Walker, that's a solid NCAA tournament team if you ask me.

I think we have more talent but Florida gets the higher rank because we know Donovan is a good coach and produces results

Billy Donovan is a very good coach and FL usually seems to have a pretty stacked roster. Three straight elite 8 appearances, and back to back national titles speaks for its self. I love how since Bruce Pearls first season in 05-06 we are 11-5 vs. them. Three of those 5 total wins came in 1 year alone by their 2010-11 Elite 8 team. Outside of that 2010-11 team, all of their best teams have struggled with the Big Orange. Their title teams only managed to beat us once, and the last 2 elite 8 teams have gone 0-3. Hopefully we continue to be a giant thorn in their side.

That's the thing about college basketball these days- you can't look to the next year and guess at the roster because if so many transfers these days. I didn't realize they added Finney-Smith. There is no doubt they will be good, and Donovan always seems to have his teams playing well at the end of the year. I still think we are better on the wing and maybe even inside with Maymon and Stokes. We will see how good Florida and Memphis are early as they play each other.

I would put Stokes ahead of Randle on the first team since Randle has not played college ball yet.

" RT @GaryParrishCBS: Just sat down with @JordyMac52. We discussed our Top 100 list. He insists I’m going to regret not putting Jeronne Maymon on it."
