i guess alabama players have the same amount of back aches as the rest of the SEC combined.
Most people fail to recognize that scholarships are renewed yearly and only given for a year. If medical scholarship is given, player gets free education.
Player in article had a back injury and medical staff had not cleared him, scholarships are one year not a 4 year contract, most people don't realize this. He went to graduate school and now works for Mercedes as an engineer, he should be grateful for the scholarship if he could not play.
Alabama 12 Rest of SEC 13. Obviously this is a way for alabama to oversign and get the best players without having to take scholarships away from the busts, which would hurt them in recruiting. Which is why noone does it. Unfortunately for them, they have been exposed.[/QU
An unknown journalist trying to make a name for himself and sell papers, Bama continues to have top recruiting classes, and nothing unfortunate about that except for their competition. Other than Bama, Florida and LSU are probably the only other teams that have the luxury of this depth to offer medical scholarships.
