Memorial Day Visit Weekend

So, what's the difference between a unofficial and an official in terms of what the player experiences? I realize that when it is official, the school foots the bill for travel, but what difference does it make to the player as far as what they are allowed to do or see or get?

On unofficial visits, the recruit is observing a normal day in the football ops building (watching practices, chatting with coaches when / if available, possibly uni pics with recruiting staff, etc). Travel, meals, lodging is covered by the recruit.

During official visits, the entire schedule revolves around the recruit. They see life in the football ops building, but are also taken around town to see what Knoxville is like (dinner at restaurants, activities like bowling, etc, Pruitt would take recruits out on the River, etc etc). They are put up in a hotel close to campus with all sorts of swag waiting for them. Coaches have scheduled time with the recruit throughout the weekend. They meet with academic advisors and meet with academic faculty from majors they may be interested in. In the evenings they are taken around by current players. Basically, every second of a weekend is accounted for and is set up to be a personalized sales pitch.

Please be referencing Twelve foot ninja

Google tells me that’s a band but I have I no idea what reference you might be referring to.

My son was born two weeks ago. I’m changing a lot of diapers. No inuendo intended.

Watch the intro of the song “one hand killing” by them. It’s a sketch and you’ll see why I thought that’s what you were referring lol.

Added 2024 CB Kaleb Beasley and, notably, changed Burley to an OV per AP on today's pod. A calculated gamble, IMO, likely due to us trailing at least one of Clemson/UGA and needing to make a huge push and try to slingshot into the lead.

Kaleb won't be here for the Memorial Day Junior Day
