Memphis #1? Give me a break

I think some of you are underestimating the defense Memphis plays. They can and will play with anyone because of it. They deserve a 1 as much as anyone else.

Thank you for recognizing this. I hope all of the Tigers' future opponents continue to underestimate their defense. After the first 5 minutes, every opponent realizes that there is no way to simulate the Tiger defense in practice.

Anybody notice the UNC bias when showing the #1 seeds and Memphis' "body of work". Talking heads sold it as the last spot was between Uconn and Memphis. When they showed record, rpi, and Top 50 record, UNC's where very similar to Memphis'. They use Memphis Top 50 record of 4-2 to justify giving UConn the #1 seed. However, UNC only 5-2 against Top 50. The last #1 should have been UNC, not UConn.

Congrats to Memphis. Easy street in the draw. Disappointment if they don't at least get to the round of 8.

Bruce needs to take note. Quit loading up on heavy weights.

It doesn't matter put Memphis 1 or 2 and let them play and prove again. If they get a 2 seed which is fine, Cal will just use that as motivation.

As I said, a 2 seed is just fine. I will be interested to see the Cal vs. Mike Anderson game. Cal will have his team ready to play in this tourney.

I'm pretty sure the SEC won't let him remove Kentucky and Ole Miss from the schedule.
