Both of these teams would be bowl eligible in any conference. Hell, Memphis put up a better fight against Ole Miss than UT did last year.
Doubt they would. if they were they'd be 6-6 at best AKA mediocre... Well they would be 10+ wins in the Big 10 and ACC lol

They're both mediocre. Let's be real

Memphis is very good, especially on offense. They would win games in the Big 10 and Big 12 and even beat some ACC teams.

They play Ole Miss at home in October, and that will be very interesting.

Not sucky by any stretch of the imagination. They will put a scare into Ole Miss in a few weeks.

They already did last year. Folks need to be reminded Memphis lost to OM by less than us and it was a 7-3 game at the start of the 4th, we were done by halftime.

Didn't they also lose by only 7 at UCLA? And beat BYU in their bowl game. Also I could be "misremembering" but I thought OM tacked on a TD very late to make the score look better.

I'm not saying they'd be awesome in the SEC or anything but they seem to be a solid mid-major right now. Definitely worlds better than a few years ago.

My only question with Justin is can he recruit ???

It could be a concern, but I wouldn't read much into his recruiting record at Memphis. It's hard to convince kids that aren't from the area to come to school here. He's recruiting very well in Texas, though, so he would be a fantastic candidate for Arky.

My other concern with Fuente is the fact that last year's team was very undisciplined, and got into skirmishes with opponents several times. Not quite sure what to attribute that to.

I tell Memphis fans to enjoy the ride. Fuente is going to get offered a power 5 coaching position after this season.

Tough loss for Bowling Green, 44-41, but Matt Johnson with killer numbers again.

28/44, 443 yards, 4 TD's, no INT's

He also had 41 yards rushing.

The kid will be in the NFL...he has amazing timing for down field passes.
