I think Glory Road and all the positive press that surrounded it negated that. The only people paying attention at the end of his career were real basketball people and they all knew how great he was.

With the exception of Caracter and Polk, that group's been together for a couple of years. Tony's got a pretty good handle on them. His group looks like Eagle Scouts compared to Tark's samurai sword wielding teams at Fresno, for example.

Nope but when I say the miners are an ncaa team and that it was a good win by ole miss it is because I watched them. When people who think they know basketball mock me for saying that, I find it surprising and obnoxious to see some of the same people pretend that they thought utep was good all along.

I didn't realize the ACC season was over. Let's see where NC State is when the final bell rings. Counting chips before the hand is over leads people to really dumb calculations, like Florida being a Final Four contender and the SEC West not being utterly pathetic.

2006 was last year CUSA had multiple bids.

That being said, CUSA schools (Memphis) have more NCAA tournament wins in last 2 tournaments than all SEC schools combined.

AT this point in the season, UAB has the only resume that even sniffs at large selection. Those wins against CIncy and Butler don't have the luster they did a month ago, so even they are questionable.

CUSA is still the same sucky conference it has been the last 4 years. The teams haven't gotten that much better, Memphis has just come back to the pack.

If the Tigers had just one post player, say Taggart, they would be running towards another undefeated conference season.
