According to Google maps, Knoxville and Memphis are 391 miles apart. If you gas up before you leave, never stop and average 75mph, you can get there in 5 hours and 13 minutes. I used to make it from Knoxville to Jackson in 4.5 hours all the time in college. Memphis in another hour is not that big of a stretch.

With the time change it becomes that. Idk maybe you can but all I know is I left knoxville yesterday for spring break at 3 eastern time and got to jackson at 8 eastern. So if you look at it that way it was 5 hours. If you look at it that i got home at 7central then yes it would be four hours. I was driving 75 the whole trip.

NO. The Time change doesn't change how many hours you are driving. It is 2.5 hours from Memphis to Nashville. 2.5 hours to Knoxville from Nashville. Add 15-30 minutes depending on where you are going in each city. It is a 5.5 hour drive.
