However, I'm sure plenty of fans will be able to sneak some in.

I'll be at the game. Hope a lot of State fans sneak them in. Im assuming it'll be a 50/50 split among fans. Dont believe it'll be 70/30 like it was at the UT-Memphis game last year

I'd say it's a good idea by Memphis, I'm sure they don't want to have their ears ringing the next morning after losing 45-0.

We've sold out every home game and taken all away tickets the last 2 seasons and we are about to expand the stadium to hold over 70, 000 so we are not half ass fans.

Sure didn't sell out all them Gator Bowl tickets. And those away tickets aren't always bought out by State fans. Home team fans can purchase them as well.

70,000? OMG! If there were only 70,000 tickets sold at Neyland they would fire every employee in the Athletic Department on the spot.

Why don't you a**holes just leave the bells at home and go watch a football game for a change? You may have to actually LISTEN to the slack-jawed gibberish maw and paw State fan are shewing next to you, but that should be the price of being a State fan.

i bet the sound is obnoxious at the games. one thing that makes international soccer almost unwatchable on tv for me is the constant sound of artificial noisemakers from the crowd.
