Memphis to the Big East Tomorrow (rumor)

GOOD! This will mean Memphis doesn't just get an inflated top seed for beating crap teams. I know see how this can help Memphis in a basketball sense. There recruiting can't get much better so this is just going to cause them to lose more games. Good news for Tennessee.

I would expect their recruiting would go down a notch if they are no longer the only team in their conference. Right now they could be considered the path of least resistance to the NBA. They have low academic requirements, an easy conference and a few showcase games per year. Then they trade one high profile freshman for another and repeat. They would lose that distinction in the Big East. The football money sure wouldn't hurt them though.

Would trade all of these points for the BCS $$ that would take the Tiger football program and athletic program to the next level.

2007 and 2008, Tigers had a Top 10 RPI. 2009 was in Top 20.

Last year's team winning over 20 was a miracle with 3 legit D-1 players and a bunch of marginal role players.
