A lot of times the "health reasons" thing means drug problem (most likely prescription pills in Meyer's case) or a marriage problem. Seems like he may have just been unhappy there. Either way I can understand why Fl fans don't like him. He's surprising me at Ohio State with his quick success.

I think it was more of a case of he looked at his roster and realized hard times where coming so he bailed to protect his reputation and record. I think he is driven by his ego more than anything else.

If Meyer was that concerned about his record, he would have stayed retired in 2009 and not tanked the 2010 season.

It's easier to cherry pick local talent up there, as opposed to duking it out with two in-state rivals and no fewer than four conference opponents who can legitimately challenge for a national title spot in a given year.
