Can't see it....either of them especially Herbie. The guy has it made where he is. He's an absolute fool to leave his current position for any coaching job and that includes a head coaching job. Money be damned, his schtick is sweet. Wouldn't leave period. Might play it for a raise, but I cement my butt to that chair.

Just denied the rumor during the Neb-Mich game. We'll see what happens I suppose

It's not even a rumor on ESPN. (unless I missed it) Usually they at least say "Some sources are claiming..."

Not getting my hopes up on this, but you can't expect him to say yes or no comment to that question during a game he's announcing. Also osu has 2-3miami games left... bad timing.

He's saying he hasn't been offered it yet. SbB seems pretty confident UM has agreed in principle to the job. So all that's left is the formal contract and a job offer. UM technically isn't lying.

I knew that CUM has his eye on the OSU job from a distance...and most of you are right...Its tough to coach in the SEC for any lenght of time...expecially when you loose your coaches...when he quit then came back for a year only to quit again...I knew he was on his way to OSU...yeah its a perfect storm for CUM @ OSU...

He would rather walk into that job under better circumstances though..with the cloud hanging over that program, I'm not sure if he will take it or not..

Several outlets reporting that it's a done deal. I guess his health is all better and he decided he didn't want to see his family that much after all.

You should see how the Gator fans are badmouthing hm now...I mean all the guy did was win TWO national titles there...Some of them are just so ungrateful...At least say thank you and move on.....Isn't it kinda sad and depressing that OSU is about to get the NCAA hammer dropped on them and they have the guts to go out and nab Urban Meyer...I sure wish UT was that damn confident.

I'd be pissed if I were them, too.

1. Leaves for "family time".
2. UF stuck with Muschump.
3. Takes OSU job after a year off.

I don't blame them for feeling betrayed. He quit once, came back and halfassed his way through a bad season, then quit again for "health" and "family". Less than a year later he's taking another job. The obvious explanation is that, for whatever reason, he wanted out of Gainesville, and instead of being a man about it he set the place on fire before he left. I'd be livid if I were a Gator.

Meyer quit about 2-3 weeks before the OSU allegations became public. A conspiracy-minded Gator might speculate on whether someone in the OSU AD whispered that that job might be coming open in the surprisingly near future.
