If you go on any message board out there where SEC fans talk to each other. You WILL see atleast one thread with Tennessee/Kiffin started by a rival fan. Do you think they would be doing that if they really just thought Kiffin was an idiot that would not be a threat to their future? Nope.

ya i saw on espn today that Weis is 3-16 against team with winning records.. that is pathetic. If he isn't fired by the end of the season i'll be shocked. Only way he saves his job is if he wins out. period

Not losing that much of the D. The two starting DEs, Spikes and a couple of big contributing LBs but not starters, and likely only Haden from the secondary. 4, maybe 5 isn't that big of a loss. A lot of players will be back.

I wouldn't bet on him leaving. He could have had the Notre Dame job back on 2005. I think he'll stick around myself. We need to make him cry at a press conference before he leaves.

Y'know, Urbie's in a tough spot.

If he stays, he has to deal with Lane messing with him constantly. And, he knows that we'd pour it on Florida 100-0 given half a chance. He'll be Lane's whipping boy from now on.

If he leaves, it'll be because he couldn't take the heat and had to get out of the kitchen. Even if he's successful at ND, there will always be, "He left to get away from CLK" looming over his head.

If CUM leaves for ND...Charlie Strong deserves a chance to be UFs coach. I just want to throw a crazy wrench into the mix for fun....

There is a certain young, aggressive coach who has a wife who went to UF and a Dad who owns property in Fla due to his long tenure in the state not to mention many other ties the family has to the state. UF has lots of money, talent in place to win a championship sooner than later and a wealth of recruits in their backyard. Just saying???

I personally think CUM will stay put. The ND job is not the "dream" job it once was. I think Cowherd got it right when stating the days of old are exactly what they are...old. ND will never recover and be the power house it once was. Although they continue to recruit, it will slowly fade. What tradition as they have been irrelevant for 20 years. Additional negatives for recruiting...
cold weather
ugly girls
middle of nowhere
inability to win big games
academic criteria

Although Florida is becoming more difficult to recruit, etc. He will stay as it is a much better job than the current ND position. Who wouldn't want to be in the SEC?!?!

He stays whether Weiss is fired or not!

As long as his resume is legit. O'Leary did not work out so well.

I think Brian Kelly goes to ND. I think Weis is not done yet but he will be after they lose to Pitt and Stanford.

If he wins out I think he would stay and get a BCS bowl as much as I hate to say that. The media loves and worships ND, and post knocking off Oregon, a win against Stanford would be trumpeted as equivalent to USC by some Nimrods.

Ga Tech fans are worried Paul Johnson may get an offer from Notre Dame.

He's done a pretty good job of turning around a program that has a lot of the same recruiting problems as Notre Dame due to stringent academic standards.

even if they win out there is no way they get a BCS bowl. the loser of SEC champ gets one at large and TCU, cincy, or boise st. gets the other.

this is besides the point though because ND wont win out... they will almost certainly lose to pitt and stanford.
