Here's what hilarious about all of this.
1) Kellen Winslow achieved an image as a punk and an idiot, yet he has no criminal record or history of being a colossal jackass. In this case, he was asked a dumb question right after a game that Miami wasn't supposed to lose and snapped. Kellen is an unbelievably competitive individual. For comparison's sake, imagine what would happen if anyone had asked a dumb question of Al Wilson after a tough loss...and that might not be going far enough
2) Kevin Garnett (I think) went way beyond this by comparing the NBA to modern warfare in a lengthy rambling pool of dumbth, but no one remembers that. It's not as bad as Harold Reynolds referring to baseball "in the trenches", but it was close.
Am I excusing what Kellen rambled on about? No. But I don't think it's as egregious as most would have us believe, and this is coming from someone who is descended from a long line of war heroes.
