I thought the same thing. I wanted Miami to win and it took them a couple of plays before zooming in. I was cheering for the wrong team...

I like this every now and then, provided that the changes are actually good.

For example, good changes is something like Tennessee wearing black last year (although I probably would have liked it more with white pants because the Orange seemed a little off).

A bad change is something that looks ridiculous, like Miami this past game, or OSU dressing like Georgia for their biggest rivalry game.

I like that osu is going throwback for the michigan game. I don't think it would be as good if it were another game, but i like what they're doing with the unis.

Anyone that thought those looked good?????...has zero clue about tradition!

Look at the best teams over history.. OSU, Mich. Yale, Harvard, Pn St, USC, ND, and Bama...........they have made modifications to their unis...but still kept with tradition! WTF was with Ut last year going to BLACK tops???? STUPID!

Stay with tradition..........In college athletics...tradition means everything....most everything!

I'm all for tradition and I think their traditional one's are the best but there is nothing wrong with switching things up here and there. The black jersey's was a smart move it hyped up the fans and they were nice looking. The Miami uni's were nice looking especially their helmets.

OTOH, I love that version of the VT uniform. Looks so traditional but still awesome.

I'm a traditionalist for the most part. I don't mind what I call slight modifications that stay true to the design, but watching Miami or Oregon on the field makes me think its as much fashion show as football.

I felt the same about the black jerseys and still curse Georgia for bringing that our direction.

Regardless I'm sticking with the Orange.

I told one of the VT assistant coaches on the sideline before the game I liked the white VT helmets better than the all maroon ones...If you could see them up close they had sparkles in the letters....Pretty cool
