Michael Avenatti Arrested for Felony Domestic Violence

Here's the tweet. Highly likely Wohl's just trolling.

Counselor, Avinetti has already admitted to hitting his wife. He just claims she hit him first. Exactly what do you think those surefire morons did to affect the arrest? Pay her to hit him in the hope he'd respond by beating her up?

It wasn’t his wife OC, that has been retracted, but he indeed was heard saying “she hit me first”.

Maybe you missed where I said I think it highly likely that Wohl is trolling Avenatti

I didn't miss that. I also didn't miss your original "but who knows the kid may have pulled some shenanigans" comment either. I'm merely asking what shenanigans you think he could have pulled. Again, creepy porn lawyer admitted to beating his soon-to-be-ex-wife up. Are you trying to create an "out" for that admission?

The "she hit me first statement" is not being reported by the police, as is clear from the TMZ account (below)--the cops arrived AFTER he allegedly made that statement. Presumably, this is coming from the same source that said it was his wife, which we now know is false.

"We're told security brought her inside the building, took her upstairs and Michael showed up 5 minutes later and ran into the building. He screamed repeatedly, "She hit me first." We're told he angrily added, "This is bulls***, this is f***ing bulls***." We're told he tried getting into the elevator but security denied him access.

Cops showed up and escorted Avenatti into a corner of the apartment lobby and spoke with him for 5 to 10 minutes and then took him into custody."

Both statements stand on their own and are separate. Like you say it likely came from the original source TMZ quoted. The source may have assumed she was his wife. That’s been recanted. The source also apparently stated the quoted comments you made. The only denial thus far on any content there is Avenatti.

You disbelieve statements made minutes before police were called, but claim we should believe accusations that were made 35 years before police were never called?

I'm not sure that I can agree with your logic.

You guys are desperate for me to defend Avenatti. I'm not trying to do that. I've already stated I believe Wohl is in all likelihood just trolling Avenatti. I doubt Avenatti would have been charged if there weren't some solid evidence here.

Has he been charged?

I actually believe he'd have been charged with a mere accusation. Seems to be how those work. I'll wait and see.

If this were a woman taken off the street and planted to make a false accusation, it would have fallen apart pretty quickly. The fact that he is being charged (as opposed to just being taken into custody and released) tells me there's substance to the allegations (at a minimum, a prior relationship to Avenatti)

Going to be interesting to see who it is for it to fall under domestic violence laws.
