Michael Beasley Vs. Anthony Davis

I'll take Davis over Beasley, even in college. Beasley got you about 11 more points per 30 minutes, but Davis didn't need to take a scoring role (and shot more efficiently). Davis is the better rebounder, ballhandler, and 100x the defender Beasley is. Davis can have an off night scoring, and still be the best player on the floor.

Just looked up Beasley's college stats to refresh myself, holy crap. 26 ppg and 12 rpg. He actually averaged 19 pts and 5 rebounds last year for Minnesota which is better than I thought. That being said, I'd probably rather have Davis on my team if I'm an NBA GM. He has the potential to develop a seriously well-rounded offensive game and is defensively so much better than Beasley.

Yeah, you don't want a SF who can't defend, rebound, or score efficiently, even if he can get you 19 ppg. Minnesota got a whole lot better by taking minutes away from Beasley and giving them to Williams and Pekovic.

I'd take Davis over Beasley for upside and character issues. I'd take Durant over both of them if I'm building a team around them.

Davis.

I'm also taking Davis over Durant 5-on-5.
