Why can't this wait until after the tournament??

But yeah, he'd be dumb not to go

He never made the statement, some idiot why says he has "sources" at ESPN said it. I don't doubt the validity, but Gilly clarified it afterward that he made no such statement publicly. Not a distraction, if you know what this kid is all about.

I'd like to have him on the Hawks, especially if he replaced Marvin Williams. Chad Ford has him as the #49 prospect I think. I respect how he plays. The straw that stirs the drink, imo.

Please clarify your statement. He is top 7 in every available mock draft.

I thought I saw it somewhere. (Hence the words " I think")
Might have seen #9 and thought I saw 49. My bad.

No disrespect intended. As I said, I like him as a player.

Still waiting for all those top nba draft picks year in and year out to translate to a national title and haven't seen it yet.

90% of it comes down to statistical chance and probability. He is there year in year out with freshmen, sooner later he will break the barrier. Would you rather fall short with a legit chance in the Elite 8 or Final 4 each season, or wait 7 or 8 years in between real chances, littered with first round exits or missed tournaments like many teams?

What ever produces the most NC's, thats the approach I would use. If it took you 16 years to win 2 would that not be better than never winning but coming close?

But again, it comes down to probability. We cannot guarantee that EITHER method will deliver a championship. So taking that into account, the more chances you have to play in the final four, the more chances you have at winning the title. That's all I'm saying.

It's all about probabilities. If Calipari keeps putting the best talent out there, eventually things will break his way (which is 90% of how NCs are won) and he'll get his trophy.
