Michael Munoz

He was certainly a bust. I still have the Playboy edition from 2005 (I think?) when they listed him as a pre-season All American. That same issue had Tennessee ranked as the number one team in the country. Everybody thought we were going to be unbeatable. That year should have been the nail in Phil's coffin.

yeah, BC 06 and 07 were horrible. Cheee what I would do to be that good again.

Munoz wasn't a bust...good grief. He started 3-4 years. He was a good, average left tackle. He had all kinds of knee problems. Too beat up to play in the NFL....and perhaps marginal on the talent.

His dad was a great player. Son not as good. But certainly not a bust.

A two time all sec, one time all American is a little better than average. When's the last time we had someone that "average"?

Well, yeah, I couldn't remember for sure. We are arguing in the same direction. I meant marginal of whether he had the skills to have a long career in the NFL.

Michael was a good player. But if his last name wasn't Munoz, he would not have been named all-american.

He was good...but I think Tiny is better at the left tackle position.

Hey, allvol...haven't seen u around...you like the Butch Jones hire by booger boy?

I don't think it is a home run but a definite step up from Dooley. I think UT is in bad shape with folks like Hart and Cheek. He is probably as good as we can get with those guys in charge.

Everytime NFL Network shows highlights of his father I can't help but think of how much of a bust he was. I remember how vocal Fulmer was when he didn't get drafted. It also seems to me he had knee problems and allowed quite a few sacks. Am I the only one who thinks he was a bust?

Knee injury is why he did not do as well.

He wasn't a bust. He was an All American in 04 not to mention All SEC in 03 and 04. He did have quite a few injuries that derailed what he could have been but I wouldn't label him a bust.

Agree..Revisionist History if you say he was a bust. he had bad knees and said he would not attempt to play NFL. That and knowledge of his bad knees and he was not drafted. As I remember it, he played many a game with great pain in his knees... The picture of a VFL in my opinion.
