Michigan Back To Looking At Miles

Just listening to the sport media here, a few are from the bay area and say his wife loves it there and they do not want to leave

The rumor is that his wife doesn't want to leave the Bay Area, not Jim. I've heard he could care less about living in the Bay Area. My thing is if he really wasn't interested in the job he would've said so by now. I won't really be surprised either way, whether he takes the UM job or not.

no offense to west coast Vols, but I was miserable when I worked out there earlier this year..never been so lonely around millions of people, last straw was being charged for my paper bags at Wal-Mart :)

If they offered Cut, Miles and Harbaugh ain't going to Ann Arbor. No way they offer Cut before those two said no.

I love Vegas...always something to do but can easily relax and avoid the tourists. I do miss the seasons but loved the 75 degree weather yesterday

Michigan is damaged goods none of the big names will want to coach there. Michigan might be forced to go for the bottom of the barrel candidates like Dave Doering(former Northern Illinois Coach)of NCSH,PJ Fleck of Western Michigan,Rod Carey coach of Northern Illinois or Doc Holliday of Marshall.

It is astonishing that two of the biggest names in college football let their programs drop to the point that big name coaches do not want to coach there. Michigan is now going through what Tennessee has.

Patterson married a TCU alum and is established in Fort Worth, which is a great place to live. Why would he want to leave TCU for Michigan, especially when he has things rolling right now?
Maybe the chance to play in a championship?
He just watched what happens to the small guys.

Michigan went through a bad spell like this in the 1960s. It's going to take quite a few seasons of wondering through the desert before Michigan turns it around again.

What are Lovie Smith and Herm Edwards up to these days? I think its going to be Harbaugh to MI. Other than these three, who else, realisticly, would be considered a "big splash" hire? Miles and Saban excluded.

Lovie Smith is coaching in the NFL. Herm Edwards isn't a very good coach.

Carr doesn't have nearly as much say as he once did. If Harbaugh says no, the job will be offered to Miles before it's offered to anyone else.
