Michigan spied on Vols last year

Harbaugh isn’t just a liar, he’s a cheat.

Question is...who was he spying for? Next game up was uga and Kirby had some peculiar remarks about sign stealing.
“I don’t know anybody that’s ever done that or been asked to do that as a young coach, or known anybody to do that. I’ve never heard of that,”
I can't find the exact quote but he also said something like....it would be really distracting for him to have someone tell him the play the other team is going to run while he is trying to call plays.

Especially peculiar when Paul Finebaum just said..."I frankly think that this happens everywhere. Not to the degree that the story is laid out here, but there’s some very grey area."

Paul went on to say that it was so common....“I think if this had been someone else, this investigation probably wouldn’t have gotten to this point.”

and Kirby has never heard of it.....hmmmm

Yes…Anyone think that most teams don’t do the same thing?
The biggest red flag on this for Michigan is that ever since they started buying tickets to opponents games, they’ve been dominating. They’re something like 36-3 the past 3 seasons. Michigan under harbaugh before was average to bad, and harbaugh was on the hot seat after 2020. Just not a good look for them at all

People are missing the real point of this whole thing. They are all focusing on Michigan when sign stealing is common in college football. Trust me it happens in the SEC also. All schools don't do it but the majority of 'top' teams do.

This guy VolNugs on twitter has made all sorts of buzz today by accusing SCe of cheating last year. The Michigan "scouts" were at that game. I'm not sure that there is any other connection though.

Just because others may do it, doesn't make it right.

where did I say its right? I said people are selling the story like this is something new and Michigan is the only bad ones. I think it should all stop but as long as the story is sold as these are the bad guys it goes away. If it is pointed out it's a systemic problem then it can be mitigated. Now schools will be like ok can't use a staff member we will just use a no-name grad assistant or the son of a booster or something. Michigan got caught because dude made it obvious and was pretty much begging to get caught.

Yeah, seen this earlier. I believe he's insisting there could have been some shenanigans at play going into the SCar game last season. He also linked an article from Sports Illustrated that Shane Beamer has been fined in 2018 for taking stolen game planning info from someone associated w/ Wake Forrest.

He elaborated by saying he found it odd that SCar was struggling so badly until they played us the week after the alleged spying occurred & they also upset Clemson who was allegedly spied on.

It sounds like an interesting theory, but in reality, we should've cooked SCar on talent alone. While I do think Beamer is a big enough scumbag to pull some crap like this to upset a couple of top 10 teams to generate hype & recruiting success, I think the issues that were going on in the locker room that week involving Banks played a bigger part in our awful play on defense.

UT changes their opening scripts for each game, no? So why would they not change the signals from game to game? Seems stupid to stick with the same ones week in and week out. If a staff is that lazy, they deserve to have them stolen and used against them.

Do the teams in the SEC have an operation anywhere near as elaborate as what Michigan is accused of doing?
