Mike Dixon?

It gives me something to do with my pathetic life. But Pastner actually wanted to bring Dixon in last December. But Shirley Raines nixed it bc of the kids off the court issues. Little did she know that Pastner has a very good way of keeping those type of kids out of trouble, I.e. Geron Johnson. But now that Shirley is leaving, Pastner got him

I just wonder when you finally admit to being a Memphis fan in Vol fan's clothing?

You know way too many intimate details about the UM program to simply be a casual follower. In contrast, you simply spew generalities about UT, your "beloved" team.

What do you get out of this?

And you know all of this because you talk with all of them, right? Just like you used to talk with Austin and he was a lock for UT?

He was until mommy stepped in. John Martin (Memphis' writer) also echoed the same thing. I learned my lesson not to speak in absolutes when it comes o recruiting, things can always change.

With that said, you're still wrong, Pastner doesn't always get who Pastner wants.

Pretty good pickup, but a little surprising. He will have to share alot of minutes.

Kane wanted Memphis State bad. But saw the roster was loaded and that playing time would be very limited and he wanted to play big minutes. It's been widely known that Kane wanted Memphis State even before last season started. He knew he was transferring before this past season even started. But once the recruiting class at Memphis State was finished up and the 3 guards were coming back, Kane looked elsewhere. One does not simply "turn pastner down"

Haha. Just stupidity.

John Martin?? The worst writer for the Commercial Appeal sports section John Martin?? Haha man, nobody in Memphis gives that kid any credibility.

The fact you're acting as though he had no info on Nichols discredits anything you say going forward. I am not a huge fan of Martin's, but he broke the story about Nichols WAY before anyone else did.

No he didn't. If you lived anywhere around Memphis, you would know that Martin does not ever brake a story. He gets his stories from other people who brake them. Martin is ALWAYS just a step behind and he is the butt of jokes in Memphis.

The only peope who seem to have a problem with John Martin are the people who subscribe to Memphisroar.com. Coincidently, that's the same crowd that has a problem with Jason Smith, Leroy Watkins, Dan Wolken and pretty much anyone else connected with Tiger bball media. MR.com has some good info every once in a while, but all these dama-filled feuds that it perpetrates on other media members are ridiculous.

Don't think so. I am not a big fan of John Martin, but I have heard Gary Parrish say when Martin has broken a story. Martin has gotten close to some inside the program and usually is one of, if not the person who breaks any recruiting or player news.

He had become good friends with Nichols, which is why he 100% infact broke the story. Nichols called Martin and told him first, and told him to break the news.

Does it get old being wrong constantly?

Martin didn't break anything about Dixon, in fact the person who started putting it out there was Brooks from memphisroar.com. Martin hasn't tweeted one thing himself about Dixon. He has retweeted Jason King throughout the day saying that Dixon has not committed...you just decided to jump on a tweet you saw and decide he was committed lmao.
