Another stunning declaration of Griff's incompetence

Isn't he like BFF's with Freak?

Pretty sure he insinuated that a while ago, IIRC.

I'm tired of Melvin and Trae isn't any better, really at this point I would let Josh Bone take a stab at running the point. Anything to get some spark.

Tyler Summit.

(and no, while I'm a huge Tobias Harris fan, and I feel sorry that he came here to waste his talent on us....he would be a terrible PG. He CAN dribble drive, handle the ball on ocassion (moreso than most at his position), but he couldnt handle the defensive pressure at the PG position.))

that might be the funniest thing i have ever read on here. only thing wasted is all the press he got for being top 10 player in nation.

McBee probably wouldn't drive into the paint and try shooting over his own center....

Seriously though, McBee at point over Golden not such a bad idea. McBee's D is better than Golden's lately and offensively neither is doing that much. The PG offensively in this system just needs to call the play and start swinging the ball around like always, get it to 10 secs to go, get ball in playmakers hand and go from there, usually a high screen and roll.

Dustin Ware and Bruce Ellington are praying Pearl agrees with that nonsense this week.

Considering our 2 point gaurds combined for 1 assist, 4 turnovers, and 7 points against Florida. They may be praying Pearl doesn't change anything.

The fact that option A is bad doesn't mean that proposed option B can't be worse.

The only solution IMO is to give Bone minutes at the point.

I think Bone definitely needs more involvement. Making him run the point might not be a bad idea, even though I think he's better at the 2.

We have to shoot better as a team. Early on, a lot of our success hinged on getting points from the stripe. Now, we can't get to the line - so we've got to figure out how to score. I think Bone's addition gives us more of a threat from 3 which we really need.

It also doesn't mean option B can't be better. I'm all for giving Bone a shot at PG. He is a more consistent shooter and protects the ball better.

If Option B is Bone, then I am all for it.

If Option B is McBee, then no. I don't see how it will work.

I am trying to wrap my brain around the idea of McBee's defense being better than Golden's

Me too.

If moving Bone to point means that McBee gets more time at the 2 then I think the move will be a net loss for this team. And the only way to avoid that would be for Bone and Golden to switch roles... which doesn't seem like it would be that effective for either.

I guess we should just leave it the way it is then. Both our PGs combining for 2 assists a game.

Apparently you haven't been watching McBee in action. His quickness and passing ability, not even considering his great ability to hit the three, could only add greatness to the point guard position. Don't know why we didn't put him there much earlier in the season.
