I'm not seeing that he's dead but it's crazy that journalists said he was in good spirits only last night.

Apparently has been battling pneumonia the past 3-4 weeks, was found unresponsive and rushed to hospital. Seems there was a weather delay for the LifeFlight from hospital to a specialized coronary unit at another hospital. Hearing that Coach Leach suffered oxygen depletion during this medical crisis and has little or no brain activity. Doesn't sound good at all.

Kiffin did, or Trey Wallace?
Kiffin, then Wallace retweeted and then Kiffin deleted.

Before it was deleted it had the following quote from Lane Kiffin:
"Truly loved him and every minute I was around him. Can't believe I was just hugging him a few weeks ago. Having coached with his former players and coaches they always said amazing things about him. His stories will live on forever.
Knox had just called today to ask if I had heard from him. I just keep hoping somehow it's not true. I can't picture not having the pirate around to text and laugh with."

Not gonna lie, when I heard Currie was out West talking to Leach after the whole Schiano thing I was very, very excited.

With the right DC, Leach would have done great things here at UT.

Prayers for the man and hope hes around for a lot of years...the SEC is just a more.fum place with him around.

Prayers for the pirate and his family.

Not to be Lane’s defender, but he was fed premature reports from an Ole Miss beat writer and was probably caught off guard.

I remember hearing the news that we had hired Mike Leach and how excited Me and Freak were and all the talk of orange and white pirate flags all along the Tennessee river on game days...Only to find out he wasn't hired and we ended up with Pruitt...I hope he pulls through, I really do...He is such a fun guy to watch and listen to.

Just heard on National report that he was in critical condition "personal Health issue" and DC Zach Arnett will be Interim Coach until Leach's return.

Same that I’m reading. Leach had said he was dealing with pneumonia most of the season but this seems to be heart attack related.
