Leach would be a killer OC at a big time school were a strong HC was keeping his insanity in check. I understand why TT rolled him out but I don't sympathize with the whiner or his dad. If it was all about principles you wouldn't be talking $$$$.

Leach may get his shot next year if our offensive doesn't improve. Opponents quickly adapted to our "establish the punt game" strategy after our bowl run.

Leach is a complete screwball and one of the last guys I'd have as a head coach at a college program, but there's no reason why he can't (again) be a successful offensive coordinator anywhere in the country.

Just keep microphones away from him at all times and everything will be fine.

Die hard techies will tell you, Leach didnt "make" Texas Tech. "He's not bigger than the school". "We'll be fine with or without him." blah blah blah.....

yep and that is why tech has been, is, and will always be irrelevant. they really only ever won one big game and now they belong (in their minds) in the talk of texas and ou. thats why if this confernece expansion thing does go down and the big12 changes dramatically tech may be with tcu and rice and utep. they just dont matter

Yeah right. The only time I knew about TTU before Leach was when we played them in the 1997 season opener. A 52-17 beating, IIRC.

And then when Leach got there, all you heard about was how whatever QB he had that year was going to break NCAA passing records.

I like the idea of him to Wazzu as well.

15 minutes of fame after beating Texas in 2008.

Exactly. All Leach did was win a game more a year than Spike Dykes by dumbing down their nonconference schedule to disgraceful levels.

Leach is a nut...but I'll give him credit for winning in Lubbock. I can't imagine how in the world you convince a recruit to stay in that town. It makes Gainesville look like a happening place.

He stuck them in supply closets.

But you're right, Lubbock is awful.
