Makes more sense. Expectations much lower - all Ole Pizz wants is a decent bowl game every season and a smattering of relevancy. Norvell would do well since its still his current stomping grounds and 'croot network.
I think you're dramatically underestimating Ole Miss' fans delusions. They fired David Cutcliffe after going 44-29 with 5 winning seasons because he had one bad season (out of 6). They think that's a top 10 program nationally. They expect to win the SEC every year. They think Hugh Freeze proved they could be a top program (even though they were cheating).
Florida State is a much better job. Sure, the expectations there are insane (as proven by Taggart getting fired after 1.5 years), but at least you have a chance at meeting them.
I think Ole Miss and Arkansas are both really bad jobs right now. Nice paychecks, but tough to succeed given the current circumstances. Florida State's AD is crap, but that's a place where you can win a national title.
