Okay, just throwing a dream scenario out there to kick around, you obviously don't think it's feasible...I respect your opinion. You’ve already admitted to not knowing much about Tomlin. How would you know what strikes a chord with him?
You’re suggesting the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers consider what equates to a career demotion.
It’s just an absurd premise.

Do you have a favored "realistic" candidate if they can Dan? (Which I'm now leaning towards the thought that they won't.)
I know what he said, and he's about as respected and admired as any coach ever...But if Mel Tucker got 9.5 mil and LSU allegedly just offered Lincoln Riley 12, if I'm Scott Stricklin and the Bull Gators, I make coach Tomlin turn down 12.5/13 mil a year and complete organizational control, à la Nick Saban.
That's the game changer move.[/QUOTE
Damn, you must be a FL fan. Tomlin would fail miserably in the SEC.
Yea. It would be a game changer, but why would anyone leave the best run NFL team to go to college, have to recruit, deal with NIL crap, boosters, summer caravans, and 18-21 year old “toddlers?”I know what he said, and he's about as respected and admired as any coach ever...But if Mel Tucker got 9.5 mil and LSU allegedly just offered Lincoln Riley 12, if I'm Scott Stricklin and the Bull Gators, I make coach Tomlin turn down 12.5/13 mil a year and complete organizational control, à la Nick Saban.

So true. That is why the Gators must grab someone from the NFL,and that perfect absolutely perfect for for them would be Jeremy Pruitt. He would take a call. Fla must do that.If you’re a successful, long tenured coach in the NFL, with one of the most storied franchises in league history, generational wealth already in the bank plus a Super Bowl ring, why in the hell would you…or your agent…take a call from Scott Stricklin?
Makes the Tomlin leaving suggestion all the more ridiculous imo.If you’re a successful, long tenured coach in the NFL, with one of the most storied franchises in league history, generational wealth already in the bank plus a Super Bowl ring, why in the hell would you…or your agent…take a call from Scott Stricklin?
Other than living near New Orleans...I think OU is the better job...guess the equalizer now is that getting to the playoffs will now be harder for them since they are in the SEC
