Mike Vick, hate him or love him.

the media is obviously out to shatter his career by painting him as always being the bad guy.

I agree. He's a great player, but TO is a complete PR nightmare, and the media is all too happy to hand him the rope to hang himself with.

Make no mistake, TO is a complete imbecile. But the media coverage is completely self serving. If you don't want to hear what a moron has to say, stop sticking a microphone in his face.

I can't believe there is no one on this board that hasn't used the Ron Mexico moniker.

I think they're all afraid they might catch something if they use that name.

has anybody else noticed that all you ever hear is T.O. and Mike Vick??????????????????????????????????

Makes you think huh.

Do you think that Mike Vick and T.O. will ever hook up on a pass some day? :bad: :bad: :bad: :bad:

Rich McKay will not let TO within 10 miles of the Falcons headquarters.

And besides, Vick couldn't get him the ball anyway. It took TO a year to show his true colors in Philadelphia, it wouldn't take one game in Atlanta.

Mike Vick is not the one that talks about himself, it's the media. That stuff is all out of his control. I don't think a QB that takes his team to the NFC championship game with no recievers is overrated.

I love how Vick lashes out at the media after he finally puts together a decent passing game... where was he to defend himself earlier this year when the media reported what they saw?

Give me a break . . . Are you really going to call Vick's slightly defiant tone "lashing out at the media"?

And to answer your question about where Vick was earlier this year . . . He was busy ignoring the media and winning football games.

I don't care whether Vick is "real" or not, he scares the bejeezus out of the opposing team every time he takes a snap.

Well, you hear about TO because he's a complete idiot. But Vick just goes out there and lets his game do the talking. Go ahead and blame ESPN on that one, but what some of you guys are doing is hating the player instead of hating the game.

Cant stand any player from Va Technical school for left overs. My girlfriend wont even admit she's a Vick High grad.

If it weren't for ESPN and Thursday nights we wouldn't even know who Beamers Babies are.

Ron, sure he's a hoot to watch run for his life. If your a Falcons fan? His passing is improving, but his lack of anything but himself ends his career soon. Hope the same fans still pull for ATL afterwards.

I like watching Vick play, in the same sense I like watching Tomlinson play. Unfortunately he won't be around for more than 4 or 5 more years.

And GAVol, if he was just "ignoring" the media earlier in the year when he was looking like an incompotent passer, why not just continue to since he'd let his passing game do the talking for him instead of opening his mouth land claiming he was Joe Montana all of a sudden.

No offense guys, but defending Vick and the Falcons gets old. It's the same argument over and over again . . . and then on Sunday they win.

I'm not denying the fact the Falcons and Vick win, which is what it's all about... I just can't stand all of the hype the guys gets for being a "quarterback."

That's exactly what I'm talking about though. You make some valid points, but what I don't understand is why in an era when the NFL is filled with a bunch of stiffs at QB people feel the need to knock Vick and refer to him by putting quotation marks around the word quarterback.

i didn't exatly say vick's game was not exciting to tell you the truth i like to see him get flattend, but i like it more when he runs out of bounds because i don't have to worry about john madden passing out or anything and you know i have to have my madden 07 game next year

Not just Vick... I think McNabb is overrated too. Eric Crouch is another one, from college ball.
