So another crash today in the same area?
When the Blackhawk went operational a long time ago it quickly snagged the nickname crashhawk. Turns out they had a nasty EMI issue related to RF interference that impacted the tail planes. They would be flying along and the tail plane controls went awry and the helo would face plant. The Osprey was plagued by transmission problems if I remember right that finally got them grounded while they worked thru the issue. I didn’t read your article but I’ll guessing that is what was referenced.Ospreys have been killing service men for a long time. They have a very terrible record in that department, and pretty much the only reason the project wasnt killed was due to it being a pet project for some senator.

It killed 30 during testing alone. For reference the f22 killed 3 test pilots.

I understand a want for the application. Just not this particular design. It’s more than just a pet project. It’s the future.

Sure. I get that. One with a very checkered past. Beyond the deaths you have the typical bloated government contracts, blown time lines etc. I am saying we should want better than the Osprey.

20 years from now when it exits service it will be one of the safest platforms out there. It’s the origin design of a concept and they’re rolling in updates as they figure them out.One with a very checkered past. Hey guys, I'm going to put this here. ALERT! If you havent heard yet,
There was some guy in TUPELO, MISS that highjacked a BEECH aircraft and started buzzing Tupelo threatening to to crash it into a walmart. They evaced the walmart and this dude took off north in a stolen beech. Some saying he is headed to TENNESSEE, probably memphis area if so. Just thought I'd let you guys know. If you hear a prop plane coming at you, keep your head on a swivel.
No, this is not a joke.
There is no humor in a likely frump supporter snapping and steeling a beech aircraft only to threaten to take out the tupelo walmart. You people are sick. View attachment 486454
