Millions of Illegal Aliens From All Over The World Head For U.S. Border

Wanting to reel this back a little bit and ask a genuine question. At this point how in compliance with the laws of the countries they've been marching through have they been? Have they been getting some kind of "just passing through" amnesty?

Sorry if this has been discussed already.
IDK. Good questions for curiosity sake at this point. Could there have been some cooperation between our and Mexico's governments? Probably, but I'm unaware of any outreach to deter this.

I will ask again: let's say they get to the border and plow through with no interest to go through the legal process like they already have on the route here. What do you propose we do? Just sit back and allow it?

Uphold the law and detain them.

That’s just mean spirited.

Well then - by all means, explain to me how people who have been coming here for decades don’t know anything about it here?

Good grief, dare I need explain it again?

They believe we're the land of milk and honey, hence why they are doing their best to get here. But danged if they can grasp exactly how milky and honey-y we are until they get here. They come on the promise of that dream and belief rather than knowing for themselves what we truly have.

Yes, others have been here that fuel those dreams. Others that have been here can make grandiose claims about how "good" we truly are. But Septic is right they have no idea until they see for themselves how truly different and "wealthy" we are.

Oh, I call out people on stupid **** all the time, regardless of who they are. It just happens far more often with some.

Tums is the worst poster on this message board and this is the first time I can recall a conservative ever calling him on his BS. You all know he's the worst and IDK why you don't distance yourselves from him. If a libertarian were on here acting like that, he'd be my biggest target.

I'm glad we don't have any libertarians on here.

Smelly bunch of folks.

All 7,000-10,000 of them at once? Detain them at which facility? Who detains them? Do we bring all border patrol agents? What happens to the areas that are now low staff in CBP? What if things get violent? What if they simply dont stop and a quarter get through? Or half get through? They have already shown that they will keep going. This is more likely to happen than not.

You talk about fear mongering like the proposed situations have never happened. What if there is a gang member that is part of the group that gets through unvetted? What if one citizen gets murdered by that person? Would you be comfortable saying that the government has done a satisfactory job in protecting its citizens? I wouldn't considering they directly allowed it to happen.

Your fear is showing. We get it, you want to militarize the border and shoot on sight.

If only we had a Republican Senate and a Republican Congress and a Republican President to pass comprehensive immigration reform to address these issues.

Someone said it before, they don't want that problem to go away.

Why do we keep blaming the democrats then?

Why didn't it get passed when the Democrats had control of the House, Senate and Presidency after Obama was first elected? Should have been easy, right? I mean, the ACA got rammed right up the bunghole of every American.

Anyway, I think both sides are to blame because neither one wants to budge on the issue. Too many votes are at stake for either one to come off their "steadfast" principles and make a reasonable compromise on the situation.

If we were living in a just world, the proposals put forward by Rubio during the election would be considered by both parties. Let's face facts, eventually we will have some form of amnesty for the 10 million or so living here. There's no other way around it. It's the conditions around that amnesty that will make it tough for either party.

Both sides love to politicize this issue to rally their base. If they solved it, they could no longer use it to manipulate voters. It's not ever going to get fixed in a way that's satisfactory to anyone.
