I respectfully disagree. His main problem is he can't hit receivers consistently on short to intermediate routes.
I don't care if he can sling it into space. I just want to see him hit a WR in stride for once in his career.
I do think his inaccuracy is somewhat overblown. But he does rely on the deep ball too much, which he rarely hits. He is also not enough of a threat to take off. I know he can, but he doesn’t have that instinct. I just wish like everything that he could put it all together. Why don't you watch some video. He hit a ton more receivers than you are giving him credit for. He throws well over the middle. His problem is not enough height on deep throws. Give it a rest.
Junk duty stats don't count. When he was required to make plays, he couldn't. He reverted straight to Overthrow Joe missing receivers a quadriplegic could have hit.
Sound a little hurt over a dude that lost his starting job because of overthrowing open receivers and then proceeded to continue to overthrow open receivers. Seems like he's learned nothing the last 2 years.Maybe he should throw an interception each time he passes so you haters can feel vindicated. Too bad I don't have his text number or private email to suggest he do that.
A pattern of overthrows means he's not progressing despite training obviously being wasted. Better long? How about doing what you're quite literally recruited to do rather than wasting the time of the trainers. He's got a cannon. Unless you're in the Jones/Pruitt play style needing hail mary passes every game, that means nothing without touch.LOL! He was a backup qb, and did very well with the PT he was given in "junk time." And you may recall everyone was very jittery going into the Vandy game, and he and the offense scored 56 points in rain and wind conditions. That wasn't junk time. Hooker was a late bloomer. A pattern of overthrows isn't the worst thing in the world., even if it continues at times next season. As golfers say, better long than short.
Question is....will he? Right now, it's looking like Nico is going to be our starter in 2023. He's got better instincts, better movement, and hasn't show the wild inaccuracies that Milton has to this point.I do think his inaccuracy is somewhat overblown. I disagree that it’s looking Nico will be our starter ‘right now’. Milton has played reasonably well, and Nico has went through a few drills. Me personally, I wouldn’t even consider playing Nico at all next year. We should be able to get along fine without him, and save his eligibility while getting stronger.Question is....will he? Yea, not without the Jolly Green Giant and the Iron Giant being listed on our roster. Quite possibly the only 2 figures Milton couldn't overthrow. He's got an arm, but he's shown, and here's the key word, CONSISTENTLY can't hit open receivers downfield. That's gonna allow every team to key in on that weakness and force him to go deep knowing he struggles with it. The only overthrows I excuse are the ones he's had in goal line situations where the ONLY place you're allowed to miss a crosser is high.I disagree that it’s looking Nico will be our starter ‘right now’.
