Milton Offensive Player of the Week

I am all TN but If Milton was SEC player of the week, it must have been a weak week for other SEC teams. I realize it was the first game and he had a decent game but.

Ah yes, instead of congratulating him, let’s find a reason to downplay his performance.

21/30 (70%)
201 yds
2 passing TDs
33 yards
2 Rushing TDs

He had more than a decent game lol

In week one where the QBs from LSU, USCjr, NC (he threw two INTs to his two TDs), and Clemson were exposed and all had whisper campaigns for the Heisman, down in flames they went. Sort of satisfying to see the youngster at LSU humbled as the pundits had him rated higher for pre All SEC honors than they did Milton.

I think, if we want Joe to win the Heisman, he needs these awards throughout the season. It bodes well for his overall perception that, despite only 201 yards passing, he still got it.

Safe to say that at least 3 out of 5 VNites were a bit surprised about this, as other SEC teams (Bama, Ole Piss, A&M, Ark, Ms State and Auburn) routed their opponents. Happy for Joe and best thing about him is that there is room for improvement! The best of Joe Milton is yet to come! GBO

Zero chance Milton wins the Heisman.

We had 287 Rushing yards. He didn't need to get 300+ passing yards to have a good day.
