That was his big coming out speech to get on the map. Knowing he was running for President, he knew he could not be his true self. If he was, he'd be dead in the water. Since he won he has made sure to point out all and every flaw our country has or had since its founding.

That's a long time ago and a different person. Ironically, that's has a lot to do with why he was elected. Since then, he's been focused on why various of our systems and institutions suck and how we are just another country. Not very inspiring.
