This is basically a fund as Franklin said, created for those arrested for rioting and protesting on the left. They make no distinction on what the crime is. Those group of white and black elitist in Hollywood and entertainment were marketing this fund. Basically funding destruction in communities not funding the rebuilding of it.

If anyone has ever seen anything like this publically for criminal activity please let me know. I understand they have collected $20M.

This is a bail fund. You’ve never seen one of these before? It doesn’t even “fund criminal activity” it just helps pay cash bail for those awaiting trial

The cash bail system is trash anyway, the result is essentially that rich people do whatever they want pretrial while poor people remain detained. This was a dumb thread, probably every state has multiple of these

Bail and financial penalties should be based on a percentage of income/assets. That is a much more just way to handle things.

It allows those arrested to preserve their other funds. Which can be used for criminal activity.

LOL at this reach to complain about a bail fund. Many of them don’t have “other funds” so you’re endorsing keeping poor people in jail who haven’t been convicted of a crime

I’m endorsing those arrested for criminal activity not having their bail money granted to them. If it isn’t their money why have bail at all? I wonder how many of those having their bail paid for them are skipping their court dates.

It’s not about being poor. It’s about assuring these losers show up for their trial

I don’t care what it’s “about,” it doesn’t work. DC instituted bail reform to the point where 94% of defendants are released pretrial, and they still have 91% show up for trial. Cash bail just results in people held in jails who haven’t been convicted based on how much money they have, which I’m not surprised is a topic you ducked

A criminal complaint filed Friday in the alleged decapitation murder of a Minnesota woman says that the defendant confessed to the police that he beheaded his girlfriend because she tried to break up with him while traveling with him to a court appearance in an earlier case.

According to the police and prosecutors, America Mafalda Thayer, 55, of Shakopee, died Wednesday afternoon when her boyfriend, Alexis Saborit, 42, also of Shakopee, cut her head off with a knife and fled. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. and was recorded on video by at least one witness, the police confirmed earlier in the week.

Except it is only allowed for one side. The funds people tried to set one up on GoFundMe for Kyle Rittennhouse and other right wing defendants get shut down quicker that you could change Biden’s drool cup.

Man charged with Beheading girlfriend is illegal immigrant from Cuba with lengthy criminal record who ICE has been UNABLE to deport

  • In 2012, ICE tried to deport him back to Cuba, but country wouldn't take him
A Minnesota man who was arrested for beheading his girlfriend and then dumping her body in the middle of the street in full view of horrified neighbors is an illegal immigrant from Cuba wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Alexis Saborit-Viltres, 42, has been charged by authorities in Scott County with the gruesome murder of America Mafalda Thayer, 55.

'Alexis Saborit-Viltres, 42, is a citizen of Cuba who is unlawfully present in the United States,' ICE spokesperson Shawn Neudauer told DailyMail.com on Tuesday.

'US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has not placed a detainer on Saborit-Viltres following his recent arrest for second-degree murder in Shakopee, Minnesota.'

During his first court appearance this past week, Saborit-Viltres asked to be deported instead of avoiding trial, but the judge refused. Bail has been set at $2.5million.

Neudauer confirmed that Saborit-Viltres has a lengthy criminal record which includes convictions in Minnesota and Louisiana for domestic abuse, driving under the influence, and fleeing a police officer.

There are pending charges against Saborit-Viltres stemming from a 2020 arrest for first-degree arson, first-degree criminal damage to property, and obstruction of the legal process.

ICE first attempted to deport Saborit-Viltres to Cuba in 2012, but his home country would not approve the necessary travel documents.

The 2001 Supreme Court decision Zadvydas v. Davis limits the length of time under the Immigration and Nationality Act that ICE can detain noncitizens who are subject to a deportation order.

The ruling generally precludes the agency from holding noncitizens with final orders of removal for more than six months if their actual removal cannot occur in the reasonably foreseeable future.

This is often due to a foreign government’s refusal to accept the repatriation of its nationals.

Moment four teens crash stolen Kia and take off running down busy Minnesota highway: Police say group was likely inspired by 'Kia Boyz' TikTok account that demonstrates easy way to hot wire the popular vehicles with USB cable

This is the moment four teens in Minnesota crashed a stolen Kia against the median of an interstate before frantically running across traffic in an attempt to avoid arrest.

The incident may be part of a troubling TikTok trend that has promoted and instructed on ways of hotwiring Kia and Hyundai vehicles with as little as a USB cable.

Law enforcement agencies across the country have raised concerns about the trend, which began on TikTok in 2021 courtesy of a Milwaukee based group known as the 'Kia Boyz.'

The thefts generally involve Kia's newer than 2011 and Hyundai's newer than 2015. The cars typically do not have immobilizers and can be accessed through backdoors without setting off alarms.
