It was a strange game by Kentucky standards, especially given all the ways that we have found to lose a game.

First game winning field goal since 1998- Tim Couch era.

Breaks a 7-game losing streak against MSU.

I would tend to curb my enthusiasm. We are not winning more than 6 and should be grateful if we make it to Shreveport or Memphis or some such on New Year's Eve.

MSU's DC had a big role in that UK win. UK has an extremely weak QB and on that final drive MSU only rushed 3 on ever play (who does that remind me of?), allowing the QB time to find an open receiver. And with 8 guys in coverage the UK receivers were still finding an open spot to settle into so all the QB had to do was stand in a clean pocket and wait until a receiver found an open spot. I kept thinking that the MSU DC would realize it was not working and bring an extra man or 2, but he continued rushing 3 and allowed UK to get into FG range. That still blows my mind that DCs will continue to rush 3 even when it is obvious it is not working.
