That makes sense, although hometown bookies rarely stray from Vegas unless they get top heavy and don't lay off their bets.

I stopped gambling on sports when I passed out in college as the oilers were up 35-0 on buffalo. We woke up when one buddy yelled "F---" to see frank Reich had brought them back. Lost $100 I didn't have and haven't bet since. I follow lines though.

The last time I placed an illegal bet was a
10-game parlay. The only game I lost was UT not covering against UCLA. I don't remember specifics but it was sometime around '95 or '96.

Last bet being a 10 team parlay is more impressive. We had 5 guys drinking black label beer all day. We bet $500 on the oilers and had @ $350 between us. We gave plasma to cover us. Pitiful. But damn funny now.
