Leach really is a very good coach who never has very much to work with. His recruiting is his biggest issue. If he would ever take over a loaded team, I don’t know if anyone could beat him. But he’ll never get enough talent at St to do much more than make a little noise here and there. If Leach had slightly better WR, his offense would be lethal.

Permian Basin money can send him on his way in a hurry. Or, perhaps some for cause action?! LOL
I would have much rather had him than Pruitt. He’s a better coach than Pruitt all day long. It would have been interesting to see what he could have done here. But as much as I like him, we are probably 7-8 wins a year with a 10 thrown in there occasionally. Plus, he has a great talent for finding a way to lose a game every year that he shouldn’t. It would have been a weird fit here as well, but it’s an even weirder fit in Mississippi.Leach might be weird but he’s a very good coach who puts his players in position to win.
I understand he might not have been a great fit here at Tennessee but Leach would have been a major improvement over Pruitt at the time.
