They would be an awesome team. The games with South Carolina would be epic.If MSST got Waltz, kept their core players (Jackson, Carter, Cooks, Matharu, Mingo Young), kept their recruits (Hayes, Gaston...although I think she's gone) AND picked up a prize or two from Louisville's recruiting class (Van Lith)...well...might as well just hand MSST the SEC title now...maybe the NC too.

I think people forget about the Butch debacle and how much it actually has put the Athletic Department behind. For the life of me I can’t figure out why athletic departments can’t not figure out better ways to structure contracts lol
Ahh, because she has been such a huge success at LSU, who was a powerhouse before her, at Least Holly went to Elite 8 won an SEC title, and....unlike Nikki, and Kellie...can recruitOk. My first post ever on this board. Go easy on me. My oldest will be starting as freshman at UT in the Fall.

Can't believe this lady isn't getting a good look by Miss St. A name familiar to this crowd.
Nikki McCray-Penson - Head Coach - Women's Basketball Coaches - Old Dominion University
Starkville is a really cool college town, nice weather, big fan base, good in all sports, they aren't in podunk ACC money share, they play in all sports league, not a 1 team football, 2 wcba, mens basketball ...and go to sleep on rest. It is close enough to all recruiting hot beds, it wouldnt be a bad move, plus NCAA hss had a huge interest in Louisville for yrs, just a matter of time before more of their atheletics department is put on probation. And some of the trips in winter for games in ACC are brutal. Big name coach, at a school at top of sport for one just trying to get there, and likely to face future bad press. If I was him, take the money and hero welcome, and go, Dawn needs challenge
I think they like McCray’s experience as a recruiter at SC paired with the turnaround at Old Dominion. They made a phone call to Graves, but there was not a whole lot of mutual interest (Graves doesn’t make much, but is more comfortable on the westSuch a wide experience and money gap between Walz and McCray. Why McCray? Wonder if they gauged interest in another power 5 head coach, just not as expensive as Walz.
