Jodi called me last night after her shift. My anxiety was understandably off the charts, so I opened up a bottle that I save for special occasions and poured myself a couple drinks while waiting. She called 53 minutes later than I was expecting so I was a little further into my handle of Evan Williams then I should have been but I don’t think it was a problem.

The good news is that she felt the same connection at the party that I did. The bad news is that she said she wasn’t looking for a serious relationship right now. Normally, I’d consider that better than winning $50 off a scratch off from the Shell station, but this time it made me a little sad.

She’s busy the next few weekends but said she wants to go to the Cheap Trick concert on March 18th. You’ll have to wait until then for the picture of the two of us together.

Would it be too forward for me to ask if she’s offering a place for me to stay that weekend?

If we don't get a picture from the local Applebee's, then your next date night will be the waffle house. Can't leave us hanging 👀

Any chance a Mod can permanently pin this thread for weekly reading entertainment. The funniest part is this cat is actually being truthful and serious and well, desparate, was having the same conversation on Tigercat. You can't make this sh** up.

Jodi is a gender-neutral name. Whoever he/she is has poor judgement. Why would a Tennessee fan date a Clemson fan? Pity? This Chad person certainly doesn't seem to have much going for him. He lives in South Carolina and cheers for an ACC team. Does he even have all of his teeth? I think Jodi could do better. Whoever you are Jodi, have some Tennessee pride. Don't date down like this.

It's been a magical week on VN, for not only you but everyone that has read this thread. I'm just so thankful I was here to witness it. Applebee's and Cheap Trick should seal the deal. Don't forget to post those pictures.
