Missing too many pieces???

Is not this what coaches that get paid over $4MM a year, and take other jobs (UCLA) are suppose to anticipate and recruit to?

Asking for a friend....
You are so far off base on so many levels.

Next year Barnes will be under a lot of pressure to make the tournament. This year we would be fortunate to make the NIT.
Next year’s team is a stone cold lock to make the tournament. And it’s asinine to suggest Barnes will be anywhere near the hot seat. UT can’t hire anyone better and Fulmer knows it. Barnes will never be fired here. His tenure will end only when he wants it to end.

Did you forget about our 7' 254lb. center that will play next year?
We haven’t seen him play at all at the collegiate level. No one knows how physical and effective in the post scoring Uros will be other than the coaches and his teammates (as SV showed today our guys at practice do not exactly compare well with everyone). UP has been described as a positional player on defense meaning they don’t believe he has the best timing and athleticism. Further, UP was described as our best post player on the team this summer; however, Kent was said to have had the best spring and we see how that worked out.

I am not sure what your point is. If you listen to the reports and interviews, Plavsic is being touted as very mobile and good with the ball. It has been said several times that he is expected to be a rim protector. You choose to look for the negative in lieu of not having seen him play, I will go with reported ability and look for it to be a big benefit next year. Add that to the talent coming in next year and I can't see how Plavsic can't have a positive effect just on measurables alone.

I think CB is right tho. If for some odd reason we laid an egg NEXT year, then CRB would get pressure. Matured upperclassmen, 2 transfer talents, #4 recruit class, plus an experienced SV to stir it all. We should expect a big season.

The buyout next year is about $18 million. UT will never pay that much to run off a basketball coach. Hell, they wouldn’t pay that buyout to a football coach.

Wow. As it should be. CRB is the best thing that's landed here in a long time. Next year is going to be fun.

He’s making the tournament next year.

A lot of bad luck happened this season and can’t overcome it.

Well that and Barnes took a few years off recruiting. And this is what happens.

Next year will be better. But this season is squarely on Barnes.
