I haven't seen them play this year. Usually by now I would have. Are they as bad as their record suggests? Anyone worried about them? Bost and Sidney the big threats, I'll assume.

The only threat is Sidney's............fists.

From their Yahoo Sports team site in the TN game preview written just yesterday:

"...By this point, the Vols might be fighting for their NCAA at-large lives."

lol Who writes this stuff?

MSU is hard to figure out. They shoot the 3 really well (I think they lead the SEC in 3 point %). Sometimes they show up and play really well and other times they look like they could care less.

*edit* they are 1st in 3 point % in SEC games.

Anybody watching BYU? It's not just Jimmer, but perfectly set up O. Ball screen up top with spot up shooters on the wing and corner. PG either penetrates to score, dish to spot up or pulls up in somebody's face. They have no inside game, but can fill it up from 3. Hope we see more high screens tonight and less flex.

I hope we roll them. One of my buddies at work is a state grad.

Yeah Mississippi State is capable of beating us for sure. They can score a lot of points quick, but they are lazy on defense. This game worries me a bit for some reason. Both teams have found ways to lose games at the end. We're going to have to be really good tonight in my opinion. We pounded them last year in Starkville on their Senior Night, and I bet they haven't forgotten. All that being said, I still think we win.

They played Kentucky closely last week.....led most of the game, up until about halfway thru the 2nd half

News flash: We don't roll anybody (and don't anybody bring up Pitt or Nova). It will be a close game, because that's all we know how to play. Hopefully we pull it out in the end and play smart.

MISS STATE. is probably the most talented team in the SEC, unfortunately they don't play defense, don't play team basketball and have really bad chemistry

Yes, look at the potential upside of sidney, johnson and bost. unfortunately sidney is a headcase, johnson refuses to play defense and bost is actually pretty good.

Sorry, but no. Not even close. They have some talent, but they are nowhere near Kentucky or Florida, or us.

A gentleman's disagreement I suppose.

Just a note: I don't consider any players outside of Walker on the same talent level of bost, sidney or johnson. Guys like Parsons and Tyus aren't what I consider talent guys and probably are close to their maximum potential.

Sidney isn't an upperclassman.

Sorry but you are way off. Miss St. is the 4th most talented team in the SEC at best, I'd say more like 5th behind Georgia as well.

I was talking about bost, johnson and augustus. Clearly Sidney is not an upperclassman, I did not feel like I needed to specify since i thought we were all pretty knowledgeable here. Now you are just looking to nitpick in order to feel better about yourself since I don't agree with you.
